·Nino Carville was having a wonderful life in Barbados and he was only 17 years old when he moved from his comfortable home on the beach to the epic city of Chicago, Illinois. Before then, he had never seen snow in his life before. Initially, he hated it but overtime, things changed. Or, well, Nino changed. As a Junior at DePaul university, Nino met a beautiful girl at a house party in Lincoln Park. She was a Freshman at Columbia and had an accident that signaled that she was from some deep mid-west farm and he was, needlessly, in love with Janine Burroughs.
·They were happily married two years later, and welcomed their first child: Phoenix Carville on April 1st. Even from the beginning, Phoenix was a dream-come-true for Janine and Nino. He was calm, quiet, never strayed and always stayed in line when he came to his parents. He went to a prestigious elementary school but Phoenix moved vaguely through the motions, getting grades good enough just to pass.
·To be honest, Phoenix had no passion for anything except for theater. He entered his first drama class as a freshman in high school and since then, there is nothing he enjoys more than that. He loved the feeling of being on stage, and notoriously shy, it gave him a chance to become someone else and to release his inhibitions. He's done a lot of local work and hopes to one day make it on Broadway even though for now, his ambition doesn't extend far enough to get him there.
·After high school, Nino got offered a job teaching at medical school in Longport, NJ. Janine and Nino packed up their stuff and nudged their slacker son to ask him if he was going to stay in Chicago by himself or move to New Jersey with them. Phoenix figured, whatever, he'd never been to New Jersey before and figured it'd be a chance to start over and make some new friends. It's been three years from then and he has made some awesome friends but it was an unused chance to start over. He is as equally (if not more) pathetic than he was initially.
·Other than doing some theater work in New Jersey and off Broadway around the New York City area, Phoenix doesn't really pull in any income so he has a part-time job at the local Blockbuster where he suggests good movies that these elderly, women will undoubtedly not appreciate. He makes due with it, and he gets to rent whatever movies he wants so ... it's really not that bad. It's not really for the money anyway since his parents pay for his apartment and his SmartCar, so all he really spends his money on are action figures and marijuana.
·Ever since he was a little kid, Phoenix has had a lisp that curled around the ends of some of his words and even though for a while he wanted to get rid of it, he has not accepted it as a part of his personality and loves it (and he thinks it accents his painfully shy demeanor quite well).
·Currently 21 years old, Phoenix has no plans to go to college. While his mother and father are very ambitious, Phoenix is totally content in the life he has. The truth is, he doesn't think much about the future and doesn't realize that if he doesn't get jumping on anything, he'll be 50 years old working at the same Blockbuster he works at now.
·Phoenix has never had a superficial relationship, in fact, he might be what one would call a "committmentholic" wherein he has a bad habit of falling in love with every girl he meets. Every relationship he's had has been in the making for many, many months before actually coming to "boyfriend-girlfriend" material. Phoenix is a homeless romantic who is always looking for ways to do his romantic fantasies, so obviously, he's the perfect boyfriend if you don't mind the lack of goals and hygiene.
·It is ridiculously hard for him to make friends, and he tends to get really quite and awkward whenever he is faced with new people or situations -- the only way he can open himself up is with smoking weed or talking about his nerdy hobbies. Other than stocking up on weed, he obviously (if you look around his room) that he is totally nerdy. Not only does he collect action figures and memorabilia from sci-fi and Starwars movies, he obsessively watches the Buffy the Vampire Slayer box set discs because he loves that show more than life. He basically, wanted to kill himself when they ended the show. And then again when they ended Angel.
